OUR APPROACH
We exist because most aerial data providers stop at the data. They fly, hand off a point cloud, and leave engineers and surveyors to figure out what to do with it. We don't work that way.
Every project starts with understanding what you actually need to accomplish — the deliverable format your team uses, the accuracy standard your project requires, and how the data will be reviewed. Then we build the workflow backward from that outcome: flight parameters, ground control density, processing pipeline, and final formatting are all scoped to the result, not to a template.
That means fewer back-and-forths, data that's ready to use on delivery, and accuracy documentation that holds up when it needs to.
METHODOLOGY
A lot of companies claim survey-grade accuracy. We document it. Every LiDAR project includes an OPUS-processed base station solution, independently collected checkpoint validation, and a formal accuracy report — horizontal and vertical RMSE calculated against checkpoints that were never used in processing.
Ground control starts with 4-hour minimum base occupations submitted to OPUS for post-processed coordinates. GCPs are distributed across the site perimeter and interior. Checkpoints are collected on stable, identifiable hard surfaces — manholes, culvert corners, concrete pads — not bare ground or vegetation.
The result is a deliverable that a licensed surveyor can review, validate against our documentation, and stand behind.
DATA SECURITY
We operate with the same data handling discipline we bring to our professional security background. Project data is transferred securely, stored in access-controlled environments, and never shared with third parties.
For clients with sensitive site requirements — active construction, private land, government projects, or proprietary facility data — we can provide a data handling agreement as part of our standard scope of work.
SCOPE CLARITY
Confluent Drone Services is not a licensed Professional Land Surveyor. We don't offer boundary surveys, legal descriptions, or survey plats. What we do is produce high-accuracy aerial data and documentation specifically designed to support PLS review and certification — so the work we hand off actually advances your project instead of creating more questions.
That clarity matters. It means our deliverables are scoped correctly, documented thoroughly, and built for the workflow that comes after ours.
